Here's how the Vold protocol could be extended to support advanced social media filtering with DIDs:
Identity Verification: Users register their Vold ID, which serves as a unique, decentralized identity. The Vold protocol can then use AI-based algorithms to verify the personhood of users, ensuring that only human users can participate in the network.
Proof of Personhood: Upon successful identity verification, the Vold protocol would generate a proof of personhood token. This token would be cryptographically linked to the user's DID and used to authenticate their messages on platforms like Twitter.
Message Authentication: When a user sends a message, the recipient's spam filter checks if the message is accompanied by a valid proof of personhood token. Messages with a valid token are considered authentic and human-generated, while those without are flagged as potential spam.

A user's DID would be associated with their reputation score, which could be used by spam filters to further refine the filtering process, giving preference to messages from users with higher reputation scores.
Decentralized Storage: To protect user privacy and ensure data security, the Vold protocol could store the proof of personhood tokens and reputation scores on a decentralized storage network, accessible only by authorized parties.
